This unique ceramic object by the artist Claudio is part of Urban Blue – From Bricks to Tiles, a groundbreaking project that brings together street art and Delft Blue. In 2025/2026, six international street artists created exceptional artworks during two Artist-in-Residence periods, in close collaboration with the artisans and designers of Royal Delft.
Claudio
Claudio presents a hand-painted ceramic vase with a narrow neck. The slender design has a subtle bulge at the top and is richly decorated with figurative and natural motifs. This is a one-of-a-kind piece.
Claudio is known for his large-scale murals and expressive style, which combines Mexican traditions with contemporary pop culture. His work results in dynamic compositions that bridge old and new, always with the same goal: to bring a smile to your face. More about Claudio
Urban Blue
Urban Blue is an innovative art project that merges the rich tradition of Delft Blue with the energy and expressiveness of street art. Thanks to the collaboration with Straat Museum Amsterdam, international street artists move literally from bricks to tiles, creating a new way to experience heritage and contemporary art. All works by the six different street artists are on display in the exhibition Urban Blue – From Bricks to Tiles at the Royal Delft Museum (on view until August 23, 2026).
