Black and White Reflection Series

Royal Delft proudly presents the Black and White Reflection Series, a new way of decorating that puts traditional Delft pottery in a different light. The objects in this series are enriched with a powerful tone-on-tone reflection effect in both black and white, bringing the timeless flora and fauna decoration style to life in a unique way. Selected from the BlueD1653 collection, designed by renowned Dutch designer Arian Brekveld and design duo Koens & Middelkoop, the two beautiful Collar Bowls and the iconic Proud Mary together form a powerful series.

The design | Arian Brekveld and Koens & Middelkoop

The designs by Arian Brekveld and Koens & Middelkoop, leading Dutch designers with an impressive portfolio, form the basis for Royal Delft’s Black and White Reflection Series. Koens & Middelkoop, in close collaboration with Royal Delft, designed the world-famous Proud Mary, available in both transfer and hand-painted versions. Arian Brekveld in turn contributed to the series with, among other things, the refined Collar Bowls No. 1 and No. 3.

This year, these beautiful pieces have undergone a contemporary transformation led by Royal Delft’s Design Team. The objects are now available in completely black or white, with the powerful tonal flower decoration. The new decoration technique brings out a reflective effect, which shows off the traditional flora and fauna decoration style remarkably well.
