Royal Delft designs special jubilee tiles on behalf of the Cruyff Foundation
These special edition Johan Cruyff tiles will be sold by Royal Delft in stores in Delft until June 2024.
On February 8, Royal Delft, producer of Delft Blue pottery, will introduce a unique series of Delft Blue tiles in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Johan Cruyff Foundation. This unique series was commissioned by the Cruyff Foundation. A number of ‘winged’ statements and the signature of Johan Cruijff can be found on the tiles.
The traditional hand-shaped tile with the so-called ‘ox heads’ in the corners is the most classic version in the rich tradition of Delft Blue tiles. Especially for this occasion, the ‘ox heads’ have been replaced by a creative translation of the logo of the Cruyff Foundation. Royal Delft uses a high-quality screen printing technique for the production of these handmade tiles. The current tile series consists of 6 unique tiles with different legendary sayings from the master.
The tiles can be ordered from today on the Royal Delft website www.royaldelft.com/cruyfffoundation. This is a pre-order. The delivery time of the tiles is 3-4 weeks. Part of the sales amount will benefit the Cruyff Foundation. With this we contribute to the foundation’s mission to develop children for whom sport is not self-evident through sport and games.
