Royal Delft Makes an Iconic Statement in Milan During Design Week
Once again, Royal Delft is participating in Masterly – The Dutch in Milano during Milan Design Week. This year, we present a selection from our hand-painted Iconic Collection, which embodies the rich history and continuous evolution of Delft Blue. Adding an extra dimension to the presentation is an impressive backdrop: the RW PT 03 ZILVER DELFT BLUE wallpaper, designed by Workingbert and inspired by Royal Delft.
The 9th edition of Masterly takes place from April 8–13, 2025, in the stately Palazzo Giureconsulti, located right next to the Duomo in the heart of Milan. This iconic venue serves as the stage for collections from over a hundred Dutch designers and brands. Royal Delft is proud to once again be part of this prestigious event.
Iconic Collection: Centuries of Tradition, Timeless Elegance
Founded in 1653, Royal Delft / De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles is the last remaining Delftware factory from the 17th century. To this day, Delft Blue is still hand-painted here, following traditions that have been cherished for centuries.
Our Iconic Collection brings together historic designs that have made Royal Delft and Delft Blue world-famous. These pieces, deeply rooted in our collective memory, proudly bear their name: ICONIC.
Royal Delft x Workingbert
Royal Delft’s ongoing search for innovation has led to collaborations with contemporary designers and brands. One such collaboration is with Bert Timmermans of Workingbert, which first took shape in Milan several years ago.
Following the successful launch of the Re-Framed Wall Panels at last year’s Masterly, we are continuing this creative partnership. This year, the new RW PT 03 ZILVER DELFT BLUE wallpaper serves as the setting for our presentation. Designed exclusively for Royal Delft, this piece places classic iconic objects in a modern environment, seamlessly blending past and future in the heart of Milan’s design scene.
