Introduction
After two artist-in-residencies, and a collaboration with six international street artists, the results are finally on view. Urban Blue brings together the centuries-old tradition of Delft Blue and the world of street art. Iconic ceramic forms and the characteristic blue palette are reinterpreted by the artists, resulting in striking tile tableaus and objects where heritage and contemporary art meet.
Mural
As part of the project, the artists also created an impressive 35-metre mural on the side of the museum building, extending the exhibition beyond the museum walls.
Openingsweekend
During the opening weekend we welcomed artists, partners, and visitors, and hosted inspiring artist talks in which the makers shared their vision and creative process.
