The outstanding historic designs of the Iconic collection have made Delft Blue and the Royal Delft brand world-famous. The pieces are engraved in our collective memory and do hour their name: Iconic. The flower pyramid is one of the well-known objects. The imposing flower pyramids are made to the example of the late 17th century (royal) pyramids. Over 300 years after the first vases were developed in Delft the blue and white flower pyramid is a famous national icon with royal allure.
Royal Delft proudly unveils a brand-new series of ceramic wall panels that reimagine traditional wall plates in a new light. This collection, in collaboration with artist Bert Timmermans of Workingbert, combines heritage with contemporary art. Within this collaboration, Workingbert offers a modern perspective on floral and foliage motifs. Through a process of pressing and steaming stacked, hand-picked wild and cultivated plants in rust water, the plants imprint themselves on paper. This results in detailed images with a painterly quality and accidental stains from the liquid in which they are steamed. The result: stunning ceramic wall panels featuring Workingbert’s signature floral prints, rendered in color schemes that nod to Royal Delft’s iconic Delft Blue since the 17th century and connect to the architectural ceramic period of Royal Delft in the early 1900s.
With The Mazzo Blue Collection, Royal Delft, together with designer Arian Brekveld, celebrates the beauty of flowers. The introduction of this vase collection amidst the Italian design mecca of Milan also inspired the fitting name for this collection: Mazzo Blue, a play on the Italian translation of the word bouquet. Mazzo Blue forms a dynamic mix-and-match collection. The foundation is laid by three different sizes of ceramic vases. The contours of each vase’s neck are organically designed and inspired by the graphic lines of flower petals. The series includes shapes with two, three, or four petals. The latter vases each consist of two parts. The base is a simply designed vase in which the ceramic calyxes are placed, as if they are flower petals perched on the vase. This combination evokes the image of a richly filled vase. And for those who still love to buy flowers… the vases are suitable for bouquets, which will be beautifully complemented by the ceramic flower calyx.
Royal Delft’s newest tableware, Dutch Dawn, is based on the centuries-old tradition of painting landscapes. The Dutch Dawn Tableware Collection by Royal Delft brings the mystique of the Dutch landscape in the morning to the dining table. Inspired by the unique atmosphere of all seasons, the tableware reflects the enchanting, tranquil start of the day. A combination of iconic Delft Blue and white ton sur ton decorations makes Dutch Dawn a modern classic tableware collection that adds a touch of mystique to any set table.
In 2019, Royal Delft introduced the first ‘ROYAL BLUE TATTOO’ collection in collaboration with renowned Dutch tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher. United by a love for craftsmanship and ink, a successful collection was born. For the Year of the Dragon in 2024, a set of three decorative wall plates has been released.
Behold the Housebird, a collectible that exudes purity and refinement. This unique piece, created by visionary multidisciplinary designer Oscar Moctezuma Rodríguez, is a true work of art. The design of the Housebird, brought to life by IDO (Iconic Design Objects) in collaboration with Royal Delft, soars to great heights.
Proud Mary is named after Mary II, the wife of Stadtholder William III, who was a great enthusiast and collector of Delft Blue during the Golden Age. The collection consists of large, hand-painted versions and smaller variants decorated with the transfer technique. Proud Mary is a collectible that represent the craft of Royal Delft.
This range started in 2012 as a minimalistic response to the richly ornamented hand-painted collection of Royal Delft. As time goes by adding this hand-painted ornament to a modern shape gives best of both worlds.
For this collection the Royal Delft designers were inspired by the beautiful decoration created by the De Drie Postleyne Astonne pottery factory around 1695. The decoration is characterized by Asian influences from almost a cartoonish perspective and made in beautiful blue on white.
ROYAL BLUE COLLECTION ® originated in 2008 and is a collaboration between interior architect and art lover Sabine Struycken and Royal Delft.
