Zandvoort, August 23, 2024 – Last weekend, the winning Formula 1 drivers received the ceramic Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2024 trophy, designed by Piet Boon by Royal Delft, during the Dutch Grand Prix. No fewer than two artists ensured that the 2024 trophies look like true works of art: the legendary Robbie Williams and Dutch artist Marcel van Luit.

Robbie Williams, internationally known for his music, presented his first solo exhibition at the Amsterdam Moco Museum earlier this year. The trophies for the drivers are by Robbie Williams. His creations, the unique speech bubbles, embrace the trophies in 24 carat gold and add an extra layer of meaning.

For the constructors’ trophy, the Delft Blue design comes from contemporary artist Marcel van Luit. This trophy is hand-painted by one of the master painters of Royal Delft. The artistic ability and eye for detail of Marcel van Luit in combination with the craftsmanship of the painters of Royal Delft make this trophy a true masterpiece.

The trophies, made of high-quality ceramics, are made entirely by hand in the Royal Delft studio in Delft. With the choice of these ceramic trophies, designer Piet Boon shows his dedication to preserving the rich craft that still flourishes in the Netherlands. The collaboration between Piet Boon and Royal Delft underlines the continued excellence of Dutch craftsmanship.

The unveiling of these prestigious trophies took place on 25 August 2024 in Zandvoort, of which number 1 was taken by Lando Norris, number 2 by Max Verstappen, and number 3 by Charles Leclerc.
