Today Royal Delft is launching its latest tableware based on the centuries-old tradition of landscape paintings: Dutch Dawn. The Dutch Dawn Tableware Collection from Royal Delft brings the mysticism of the Dutch landscape to the dining table in the morning. Inspired by the unique atmosphere in all seasons, the tableware reflects the enchanting, calm start to the day. Royal Delft is known worldwide for its unparalleled landscape paintings. The 10-pieces Dutch Dawn tableware is a beautiful Delft Blue work of art as a whole. Each item represents its own unique part of the landscape. While nature takes center stage on the dinner plate and the pasta plate, the urban part of the landscape painting can be seen on the dessert plate and the mug is embraced by the dew in the grassy landscape. The erasure of the landscape gives space to the chef’s creativity, in combination with the tonal decoration on the base plate and the large bowl, the mystique surrounding the Dutch mornings is emphasized.

The specific landscape depicted in the Dutch Dawn Tableware collection was created by the master painter of Royal Delft and based on a painting by Frytom. In 2021, Royal Delft Museum presented the exhibition from Van Ruysdael to Frytom. A beautiful exhibition that emphasized the impact landscape painters had in Delft in the 17th century.
