During a fierce storm in 1763 in the English village of Burrington Combe a terrified clergyman’s wife sheltered in a gorge waiting for the bad weather to pass. In her fear she felt so close to God that she wrote the hymn Rock of Ages. The image stands for the last place where the sailor can go when he is shipwrecked. This large, hand painted plate, is made in a limited edition of just 50 pieces. It comes with a certificate of autenticity.
