Proud Mary

Proud Mary View of Amsterdam

Proud Mary is named after Mary II, the wife of Stadtholder William III and a great admirer and collector of Delft Blue during the Dutch Golden Age. This stylish figurine was created out of the desire to give Royal Delft’s iconic Delft Blue a contemporary appearance. The design consists of four interchangeable elements: the skirt, the bodice, the collar, and the head. The design is by Dutch designers Koens & Middelkoop, while the decoration has been executed by the designers and master painters of Royal Delft. In addition to this 17 cm version, Proud Mary also exists in a larger 30 cm Limited Edition hand-painted edition.

This 17 cm high Proud Mary is an elegant homage to Amsterdam and a modern interpretation of the iconic Delft Blue.
