Cabinet set
Besides the worldfamous Delft Blue the masterpainters at Royal Delft also create the multi-coloured polychrome collection. This decoration style is inspired by colour used in the Mediterranean and it is these colours that give the earthenware its typical character. The name says it all: this is a set of vases, meant for on top of the cabinet. In the thirties of the eighteenth century there were no less than 10 types produced in Delft. According to the fashion in that time the sets were placed on the rim of the cabinet. This set of cabinet vases with decorative flower depictions has stood the test of time.
