About Herring dish
This Delft Blue herring platter is one of the most popular pieces and has been part of the Royal Delft collection since 1880. The herring is featured in relief in the center of the platter. Herring was, and remains, an important source of income for the Dutch fishing industry. Royal Delft has been producing high-quality Delft Blue earthenware since 1653.
