This extraordinary collection of Delft Blue design vases was first presented in 2024 in the international design capital of Milan. The name Mazzo Blue refers to the Italian word mazzo, meaning bouquet, a poetic nod to the collection's source of inspiration. Sculptural elegance in ceramic The collection consists of three carefully designed vase sizes. The organic contours of the neck are inspired by the lines of flower petals and give each vase a sculptural character. Variants with two, three, or four leaves are available within the collection. The four-leaf vases consist of two parts: a sleekly designed base and ceramic chalices that are placed on the vase. This composition evokes the image of a lavishly filled vase, a work of art in itself. Although the vases make a powerful aesthetic statement without flowers, they are also suitable for holding bouquets. The ceramic flower chalice elegantly supports the bouquet, allowing the vase and flowers to form a single entity. Mazzo Blue Grey Stone Combi 004 This edition of the vase consists of two separate parts. The vase is executed entirely in the grey/white combination with floral Delft Blue decoration on the loose lid. The lid of this vase is created using a transfer technique in the workshop in Delft. The vases are entirely handmade and are therefore all unique. The Mazzo Blue Collection is offered online in carefully curated combinations. For those who wish to assemble and combine pieces themselves, the collection is also available in our Royal Delft stores and at selected high-end retailers.

De Porceleyne Fles in Delft
Centuries-old craftsmanship lives on in De Porceleyne Fles. The screen printing technique, with its origins in eighteenth-century England, is still an essential part of the decorating process. Here, heritage, precision and craft come together in every ceramic object.
Even when the screen printing technique is used, the hand of the Royal Delft master painter is still part of the design. The first design is put on paper with a brush, using the same black paint. Once a final design has been made, it is sent to the printer. The printer scans it digitally and then turns it into a screen print.
This is divided into four separate layers for the four different shades of blue. It is then printed onto plastic films, and the films are exposed onto a screen printing frame. In this way the design transfers from the film to the frame. This is done four times for the different shades of blue, after which a carrier layer is added on top. That carrier holds the entire design together.
The transfer is then applied to the glazed product, after which it fuses with the glaze layer during the second firing.
