Vakmanschap bij Royal Delft: met de hand werken in het atelier aan de Rotterdamseweg

Do you have a heart for gardening and an affinity for culture and craftsmanship? We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with good social and practical skills. And green fingers! As part of a team, you will be responsible for maintaining our monumental courtyard garden, keeping the shop square's greenery in order, and caring for the strips of land around the building. You speak good Dutch, and English is a plus. The peak season for maintenance is from March through September; please keep in mind that you must be available weekly during this period.

 

What will your work environment be like?

Royal Delft has been creating handmade Delft Blue since 1653 and is the last remaining earthenware factory from the 17th century in Delft. The craft is passed down from generation to generation. In the museum, you can admire a unique collection of classic and modern Delft Blue, and in the factory, you can see with your own eyes how clay turns into earthenware. There are regular exhibitions and painting workshops, and in the brasserie adjacent to the courtyard garden, you can enjoy things like high tea, served on our own Delft Blue tableware.

 

Who are you?

  • Your heart beats faster when it comes to greenery
  • You have knowledge of gardening (a true hobby gardener is certainly welcome)
  • You also have technical insight (the courtyard garden includes a fountain, among other things)
  • You are enthusiastic about Delft Blue;
  • You are hospitable and customer-friendly;
  • You like to roll up your sleeves and are a hard worker

  • Reimbursement of € 3.00 per hour up to a maximum of € 170.00 per month
