Volunteer host/hostess – Royal Delft Museum
To strengthen our team, Royal Delft Museum is looking for enthusiastic volunteers for the position of host/hostess.
Do you have an affinity for culture, craftsmanship, and the world-famous Delft Blue? Do you enjoy welcoming visitors and providing them with a pleasant museum experience? Then we are looking for you!
As a host or hostess, you contribute to a warm welcome for our visitors. You inform guests about the museum and provide explanations regarding the collections, exhibitions, and the production process.
What will your work environment be like?
Royal Delft has been creating handmade Delft Blue since 1653 and is the last remaining earthenware factory from the 17th century in Delft. The craft is passed down from generation to generation. In the museum, you can admire a unique collection of classic and modern Delft Blue, and in the factory, you can see with your own eyes how clay turns into earthenware. There are regular exhibitions and painting workshops, and in the brasserie, which borders the courtyard, you can enjoy experiences such as high tea, served on our own Delft Blue tableware.
Who are you?
- You are enthusiastic about Delft Blue;
- Good social skills and a welcoming attitude;
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
- Proficiency in another language is an asset;
- You are available for at least 8 hours per month.

- Compensation of € 3.00 per hour with a maximum of € 170.00 per month;
