At the Royal Delft Museum, home to the world-famous Delft Blue, ceramics have been handcrafted since 1653.
Tradition and craftsmanship come together in the factory and painting studio, and we share that story
daily with visitors from home and abroad.

About the internship

No two days are the same at the Royal Delft Museum. We organize new exhibitions, provide
painting workshops using authentic techniques, welcome visitors from all over the world, and work
together in a small, dedicated team. As a result, you will encounter all facets of the museum.
You will start with an introductory period in which you shadow various departments – from the
brasserie and reception to the shop and the factory itself. After that, you will be fully involved in the
Tourism & Public Affairs department.

What will you do?

• Contribute to the daily operations regarding tour operators, sales partners, and
painting workshops.
• Support the organization of activities and workshops for exhibitions.
• Maintain and analyze data to support choices and improvements.
• Brainstorm creative ways to engage visitors.
• Assist with inquiries from groups and packages.
• Assist with the preparation of sales and promotional events.
• And other educational projects that come along.
In short: you will work as a full-fledged member of the museum team.

Who are you?

• You are in your third or fourth year of a higher vocational education (HBO) program in leisure, tourism, or hospitality.
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
• You are independent, practical, and have good planning skills.
• You have an affinity for culture, heritage, and hospitality.
• You enjoy working in a team and interacting with visitors.
• You are available for at least 32 hours per week and are flexible when necessary (e.g., during
events).

• Internship allowance of €380 per month (based on 38 hours).
