Internship for 32-38 hours per week

Step into the world of Royal Delft and help optimize inventory, planning, and processes. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to directly apply your analytical skills and improvement ideas in practice. Together, we ensure a perfect flow of craftsmanship and creativity.

Royal Delft has been producing the world-famous Delft Blue since 1653. In addition to our traditional collections, we also work on innovative designs and special collaborations with brands such as Supreme®, Miffy, and Henk Schiffmacher. Behind this craft lies a complex supply chain where production, logistics, and sales converge. And that is exactly where you can make an impact.

What will you do as a Supply Chain intern?

As an intern, you will work directly with the Supply Chain Specialist and be given a great deal of responsibility. You will participate in daily operations while also working on improvement projects that truly impact our organization.

Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Supporting inventory management and analyzing stock levels
  • Assisting with forecasting and tactical planning (S&OP)
  • Identifying bottlenecks in the supply chain and contributing ideas for solutions
  • Analyzing data in Excel and BI tools to improve processes
  • Supporting ordering processes and supplier coordination
  • Setting up and improving reports and dashboards
  • Working on improvement projects such as process optimization, digitization, or AI applications

In addition, you will have the space to conduct your own research or graduation project, for example in the areas of supply chain optimization, inventory strategy, or process design.

What will your work environment be like?

You will work closely with the Supply Chain Specialist and have frequent contact with various departments such as production, logistics, sales, and external partners. This will give you a unique look into an end-to-end supply chain within a production environment.

Your workplace is located in our monumental building in Delft on the Rotterdamseweg, which also houses the factory, warehouse, museum, and shop. A dynamic environment where craft and operations meet.

Who are you?

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or similar
  • You have an affinity with data, processes, and optimization
  • You are analytically strong and work in a structured manner
  • You are curious and enjoy networking and maintaining contacts
  • You take initiative, proactively contribute ideas for improvements, and have the assertiveness to implement them
  • You are capable of working independently but also enjoy collaboration
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
