One day, Marcel Wanders had the bizarre idea of designing a porcelain object in the soft, undulating shape of a stack of eggs. But what could it actually become? And how could he achieve the form he envisioned? Two brilliant ideas emerged. Why not boil a set of eggs, place them in rubber condoms to protect them, and cast porcelain around them? And why not create a bizarre, soft, resilient egg vase?
