In honor of the exhibition ‘Flowers in Blue, through the lens of the Bas Meeuws’, Royal Delft Museum has released some beautiful products. Bas Meeuws, a Dutch photographer, who brings new life into the traditional Dutch genre of flower still life.
This signed photo print by Bas Meeuws was made exclusively for Royal Delft Museum in a limited edition of 200 pieces. The photo print is only for sale during the exhibition ‘Flowers in Blue, through the lens of Bas Meeuws’ from the 17th of April until the 10th of September 2023. Part of the proceeds will also be used for museum activities at Royal Delft Museum.
The photo print itself is 60 x 36.9 cm (69 x 45.9cm including the white border) and is a Fine Art Print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta 315gr paper.
The photo shows a typical Delft (Blue) scene. The vase and the bowl come from the museum collection of Royal Delft Museum. The window can be seen in the building ceramics room and the block on which the vase and bowl stand can be found in the historic courtyard as part of the balustrade. Johannes Vermeer’s ‘Little Street’ was used as the background for the photo print and supplemented with fauna from the artist’s environment, such as the dog and various birds.
