A special discovery was recently made in the archives: the sketches and transfer sheets of six beautiful, different floral designs by Westraven. The sketches and transfer sheets date back to 1930. They are in good condition and serve as the basis for the tile collection. Furthermore, they were used as inspiration for the dress of Proud Mary Wild Flower. The tiles can be beautifully combined with the newest member of the Proud Mary family.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWild flowers in modern interiors\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eModern interiors are characterized by influences from nature. The inspiration of the Westraven designers in the 1930s therefore came directly from nature. Flowers such as the forest tulip, the snake's head fritillary, and the clematis that served as their inspiration are being taken to a new level nearly 100 years later by the designers at Royal Delft. The designs have been developed using the multi-coloured polychrome decoration technique. This uses the colours yellow, green, blue, and reddish-brown. Knowledge of working with these specific colours originates from the countries surrounding the Mediterranean.
