Claudio Limon, Keya Tama, Madi, Ryol, Speto, and Tja Ling Hu each designed a tile with its own unique character and story. Born in one of the city's suburbs, he was exposed to local street culture and graffiti at an early age. This inspired him to start painting in public spaces in the mid-1980s.

Over the years, Speto developed a unique and unmistakable style. It is a style strongly influenced by Brazilian artistic traditions such as artisanal wood engravings and Cordel literature: a folk tradition of poetic stories illustrated with simple woodcuts.

His visual language is characterized by powerful, often black-and-white figures that exude both simplicity and expression. With this style, he manages to connect historical and modern elements, creating a bridge between popular culture and contemporary urban art.

His body of work includes both murals in public spaces and works in galleries and museums. Speto is not only a key figure in the world of contemporary Brazilian art but in the entire street art scene.

More information about Urban Blue can be found at: www.urbanblueexpo.nl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1017/7898/1203/files/1535_46202605_speto_tegel_13x13cm-scaled.jpg?v=1783962309
