Cruyff Foundation
In 1997 the Cruyff Foundation was founded by Johan Cruyff to give children, especially those with a disability, the opportunity, and space for sports and games. Besides his love for sports and games, his creative and memorable statements will be remembered all over the world. From today on these statements are available on a Delft Blue tile in Dutch. In the corners of the tile are normally so-called “ox-heads”. For this special occasion, these have been adapted to match the logo of the Cruyff Foundation and you can recognize the ‘C’ in them.
In 2022, the Cruyff Foundation supports and develops impactful sports and games projects worldwide and is active in over 22 countries with 275 (special) Cruyff Courts. The focus here is on children and young people for whom sport is not self-evident. They do this by sports projects for children with disabilities, arranging outdoor sports spaces in focus areas, and social sports programs. This way they create space. Space where children can develop, space to make friends, and space where they can improve their physical and mental health. Space to get the best out of themselves.
